    Present
    Proofread and copyedit articles for the company's monthly magazine, Linux Journal, as well as online manuals and software documentation. Magazine covers programming and other issues related to the operating system and the World Wide Web.

  2. Newsletter Consultant, ADOPT A BEACH
    1995-Ongoing
    Compile, edit, and design Adopt a Beach News for the non-profit group on a quarterly basis. Use Pagemaker for design and layout. Find artwork and photos on the Internet, and use Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop to manipulate images for publication.

  3. Proofreader, MICROSOFT
    1996
    Proofread a variety of articles and media content, both on paper and online, for the Encarta CD-ROM encyclopedia. Position involved proofing text and SGML coding, querying subject editors regarding content and readability, testing embedded links to other articles and media, and verifying bug fixes.

  4. Online Editor, PEANUT BUTTER PUBLISHING
    1995
    Created and organized material about published titles for the company's web page. Position involved writing book reviews and sell copy, editing of authors' biographical information, excerpting from other reviews, and communication among authors, the publisher, and the web page designer.

  5. Reader, Proofreader, Copyeditor, PEANUT BUTTER PUBLISHING
    1995
    Read, proofread, and copyedited book manuscripts using MS-Word revisions tool. Company publishes a wide variety of non-fiction (how-to, technical, autobiography, self-help) and fiction (general, romance, fantasy, mystery).
