• Never Trust a Skinny Chef has several posts about it. He had the problem with the hot plate blowing out, so he had to do some electrical tinkering.
• Sal DeTraglia tried to build one in Spain and couldn't get the temperature high enough.
• twothirds has a brief account of building his, which apparently worked.
