Think!
I've moved yet again. Last time, I was in Fairfield Ca. Before that, it was Santa Cruz Ca. For those following along, previous to Ca, I'd been in Kailua-Kona Hi for a year -- more on that elsewhere. There was also a month in Hilo Hi too after Seattle. And that brings me back -- so to speak -- to Seattle.
Yes. I'm back in Seattle. Haven't found work, but I feel better about myself & any semblance of a future already. The past year & a half has been one hell of a ride, much of it bad, but I think Seattle will be the right place.
The following is the introduction to my site. Enjoy...if it doesn't hurt too much.
To simplify matters, I've taken my site -- as I'd had it on my own server -- & made necessary changes instead of taking more time (I've, essentially, been off-line for over a year) to create something totally new. I am not, by any means, being lazy. These changes themselves have taken quite a lot of time. You'll find more details on my purgatory in the unnatural state of Hawaii on my Hawaii Chronicle page.
Here & Now
Here're my personal pages & my Linux page. Have a look.
And if you've any interest in reading my resume....
Incidentally, in reference, primarily, to Linux:
Some time ago I'd had enough. I'd been forced to dump Yahoo completely. If their Web server wasn't simply returning porn results for most everything not porn, too many of their mail users insisted on sending me countless pieces of spam. Then, being an avid mailing list addict, I was subscribed to numerous Linux related lists, but general annoyances dealing with Yahoo Groups -- particularly non-answers from other list subscribers & over moderation (by non-moderators) pissed me off too many times.
Once I'd rid myself of Yahoo", I'd started my own Linux mailing list called Linux Anyway (if that link doesn't work, go here: FreeLists home & search for Linux-Anyway) in which I hope to not only make newbies feel more comfortable by far less emphasis on netiquette, & any subscriber by nearly no restriction on subjects -- in other words: While Linux Anyway is primarily a Linux community & support list, threads on subjects considered off-topic won't necessarily be wrong. From the list description:
"While primarily a Linux help list, I have a vision of something more than that. There may be many problems with lists on Yahoo, but I've grown increasingly tired of complaints that this thread is off-topic, or just posting instructions on netiquette, etc. I would like to see this list become free of petty differences & simply that of people communicating on a range of topics."
So come on, join. Be a part of th revolution.
