1942 ------------1970 Jimi's grave is actually in the suburb of Renton, about a 1/2 hour drive (by car) south of Seattle, a bit longer by bus. From downtown Seattle, this is a 2 bus trip: one to the Renton Transit Center, then one to Greenwood Memorial Park. From downtown Seattle, take either the #101 bus or #106 bus from the Metro Bus Tunnel (or southbound on 3rd Ave. on sundays) to Renton. From the Renton Transit Center, take the #105 bus (marked "Kennydale", but you won't go that far). Get off at N.E. 4th & Monroe and walk about a block east. You can't miss the Cemetery, it's on your right. The grave is located towards the back of the cemetery, past the pyramid, about 20 ft. due west of the sun dial. It is a very simple marker, easy to miss, but there are usually flowers, guitar picks , etc. there. back
